I wish I could tell him that it is truly pathetic that he has about 30 years in government and all he can show the public that he's qualified to be President is a 4 month stint in a war that happend over 30 years ago.

Ugh...I'm so disappointed in my choices for Prez.

I think it's truly sad that Sen Kerry has not pointed to even one of his accomplishments during his tenure as a Senator.

But I think you're right gae. It's anybody but Bush.

Truly Truly sad....

Pina....do you honestly think Kerry is the best man or are you just anyone but Bush?

I will vote for Bush for the same reason(s) that you will vote for Kerry. Anybody-but-Kerry.

For all of W's faults, he's a known quantity. Kerry comes across as a vacuous liar*, who is hanging his hat on 4 months in Vietnam. But, he won't allow his military records to be released.

I think it's a shame that one needs to be a multi-multi-millionaire to run for President. Neither Bush nor Kerry understands how tax increases can affect a household budget.

* Note to Pina: I'm not name-calling. That was an opinion.

Kerry was in Green Bay yesterday for one of his "front porch" talks. Before he held the meeting, he stopped by GB West high school and said hello to the practicing football team & coaches. He tried to play the jock, but got knock flat on his ass!

A few reasons I'll vote for Kerry that are not anybody but Bush.

1. World opinion strongly supported the U.S. after 9/11. Bush squandered that and has zero chance of fixing it. It might take a long time for Kerry to begin to repair the damage, but he has a much better chance of success than Bush.
2. Bush has an extremely dangerous decision making style. He doesn't read even aggressively abridged memos, stares into space without comment when being briefed on technical matters (Paul O'Neill), surrounds himself with yes men, and punishes anyone that strays off message. Kerry will bring a much better prepared, more open decision making style that is less dangerous and improves the quality of decisions.
3. Kerry has a fully rounded view of military power. He served the country in combat, protested against war, and lead the fight in exposing the Iran-Contra scandal. This indicates an extremely tough person who is able to stand up to the military-industrial complex and is fully willing use it when necessary.
4. Kerry is gonna fire Karl Rove. Kerry is gonna fire Donald Rumsfeld. Kerry is gonna fire John Ashcroft. Kerry is gonna fire Richard Perle. Kerry is gonna fire Paul Wolfowitz. Etc.
5. Kerry has the full support of several former chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, heads of CIA, and a long list of other leaders.
6. Kerry will have a much stronger emphasis on fiscal responsibility.

I honestly can't think of a single redeeming thing about Kerry. But I'm gonna vote for him.

Sad...I know.

Since we seem to have short memories:

Kerry: Preserve Constitution
Bush: Doesn't know what the Constitution is.

Keep that pasted on your forehead, gae, for future reference.

One area where Bush and Kerry offer significant differences is health care. You should read up on it.

Well I beleive your wrong.

On October 15th my small company is making a final presentation on a 40 milion dollar contract. Right now our chances are real good and if we win it I expect us to double in size from 16 people to well over 30 by the end of the year. These are not entry level positions, but high paid, low voltage design engineers and project managers.

We have already been informed that if Kerry is elected to expect the project to be cancelled.

Politics can be painful, Jigsaw...

Trav, please elaborate on why that contract would be cancelled if Kerry wins?
